
Connected Hospitality Experience for a Boutique Ocean Drive Hotel

Project Overview

Following the successful completion of previous projects for the ownership group behind La Cañita Restaurant, ProAV.Miami was selected to design and deploy the technology infrastructure for Casa Cañita Hotel, a new 26-room boutique hotel located on iconic Ocean Drive in Miami Beach.
The project was awarded based on the trust, performance, and collaborative relationship established through prior engagements, allowing our team to become involved early in the development process and contribute to the guest experience strategy through technology integration.
The objective was clear: create a modern hospitality environment where lighting, entertainment, networking, security, and guest services work together seamlessly while preserving the property's unique character and atmosphere.
ProAV.Miami delivered a comprehensive turnkey solution that integrated multiple technology systems into a single cohesive guest experience platform, helping transform Casa Cañita Hotel into a connected hospitality destination.
Challenge
The ownership group envisioned more than a traditional boutique hotel. Their goal was to create a hospitality experience that extended the energy, culture, and identity of the adjacent La Cañita restaurant throughout the entire property.
Achieving this vision required coordinating multiple technology disciplines, including lighting control, audiovisual systems, IPTV, networking, Wi-Fi, surveillance, and hospitality television systems. Each system needed to operate reliably while remaining virtually invisible to guests.
The project also demanded close collaboration among ownership, hotel operations, interior designers, lighting designers, and multiple construction trades to ensure that technology enhanced the guest experience without compromising the property's architectural and design intent.
Additionally, the hotel required enterprise-grade infrastructure capable of supporting daily operations, guest connectivity, future growth, and the integration of hospitality services across all 26 guest rooms and common areas.

Solution
ProAV.Miami designed and implemented a fully integrated technology ecosystem for the hotel, delivering solutions that enhance operational efficiency and elevate guest experiences.
Key components of the project included:
- Building-wide Lutron lighting control system serving guestrooms and common areas, providing enhanced comfort, energy management, and a premium hospitality experience.
- Background music system throughout public spaces, creating a consistent atmosphere aligned with the property's brand identity.
- Enterprise-grade network and Wi-Fi infrastructure supporting hotel operations, guest connectivity, IPTV services, surveillance, and future technology expansion.
- Surveillance system providing comprehensive security coverage throughout the property.
- Samsung hospitality televisions installed in all 26 guest rooms.
- IPTV platform enabling centralized content management, guest communications, operational messaging, and enhanced in-room entertainment experiences.
- Integration between Casa Cañita Hotel and La Cañita Restaurant, creating a unified hospitality environment. Live music performances and entertainment from the restaurant are streamed directly to guest room televisions, while synchronized background music extends the restaurant's atmosphere into the hotel's public spaces.
- Close collaboration with the project's lighting design consultant to ensure that technology, architecture, and guest experience functioned as a unified design strategy rather than separate systems.
The result is a highly connected boutique hotel where technology operates behind the scenes while enhancing every stage of the guest journey.
